The Busan Metropolitan Government announced on the 10th Aug that it will go up to four levels of distancing starting at midnight.
The four level of distancing will be implemented from the 10th to the 22nd.
In order to block the inflow of outside tourists, all seven beaches in Busan, including Haeundae beach, will be closed during this period.
Busan has more than 100 confirmed cases of COVID-19 per day on average.
The previous day, the number of new confirmed cases reached a new high of 171.
