Jeonju Tourist Map – English PDF Download & Guide

Jeonju is best known for Jeonju Hanok Village and bibimbap, and the city publishes an official English tourist map called the Jeonju Travel Map. If you’re planning a day trip or a weekend in Jeonju, this is the map to get.

I went through the whole map myself. It’s a large two-sided map, and it covers much more than the Hanok Village. Below, I’ll show you what’s on each side and the easiest way to get it on your phone or PC.

What’s Inside the Jeonju Tourist Map

Front side

  • A map of the whole city of Jeonju, from Jeonju Station and the bus terminals to Deokjin Park, Jeonju Zoo, and Namgosanseong Fortress
  • A detailed map of Jeonju Hanok Village, including Gyeonggijeon Shrine, Jeondong Catholic Church, Pungnammun Gate, Omokdae, and Jeonju Hyanggyo
  • Bus route information from Jeonju Station and the bus terminals to the Hanok Village
  • Public parking lots around the Hanok Village
  • Guided walking tours of the Hanok Village (about 1 hour each)
  • Recommended attractions outside the Hanok Village, such as Palbok Art Factory, Ajung Lake, and Jeonju National Museum
  • 24-hour emergency medical centers

Back side

  • Jeonju’s main festivals, including the Jeonju International Film Festival, the Jeonju International Sori Festival, and the Jeonju Bibimbap Festival
  • Jeonju’s local foods: bibimbap, kongnamul gukbap (bean sprout soup with rice), pi-sundae, hanjeongsik, and makgeolli
  • Theme area maps (see below)
  • A cycling road map and a guide to the public bicycle rental service
  • Hanok stay information, tourist information centers, and the city tour bus

The Hanok Village map on the front is the part you’ll use the most. The back side is worth a look too, because it shows good places to visit near the Hanok Village.

Theme Area Maps at a Glance

Jeolla Gamyeong & Gaekridan-gil

The restored provincial government office of the Joseon Dynasty, and the trendy café street right next to it. A short walk from the Hanok Village.

Deokjin Park

A lake park famous for its lotus flowers in summer. Jeonju Zoo is nearby.

Seohak-dong Art Village

A small neighborhood of galleries, workshops, and cafés just across the stream from the Hanok Village.

Jeonju Station & Cheotmajung-gil

The wide street in front of Jeonju Station. It’s the first thing you’ll see if you arrive by KTX.

How to View and Download the Jeonju Tourist Map

The map is available on the official Jeonju tourism website (Visit Jeonju) in three ways. Pick the one that suits your device.

View it right away on your phone

This link opens the map as a PDF in your browser, so you can zoom in without downloading or unzipping anything.

Download the file (PC recommended)

If you want to save or print the map, use the download link below.

Before you download

The download link gives you a ZIP file, not a PDF. You’ll need to unzip it to get the PDF inside. Unzipping on a phone can be a hassle, so if you’re on mobile, the View link above is the easier option. Also, the map is large and the text is very small, so it’s best checked on a PC or tablet before your trip.

Get a printed copy

You can pick up a free paper copy at the tourist information centers, including the ones at Jeonju Station and in the Hanok Village. The Visit Jeonju website also lets you request a printed map by post.

Official Visit Jeonju website

You can find all the links above on the official Visit Jeonju website (Tourist Map page). The same page also has a Jeonju Food Map, so grab that one too if you’re coming to eat.

If a link doesn’t work

Korean public institutions tend to change their URL structure whenever they renew their websites, and download links often break in the process. If any of the links above don’t work, please leave a comment below, and I’ll find the new one and update this post.

My Tip for Using the Map

You can see the Hanok Village in about half a day. If you have time left, check the back side of the map for nearby areas like Seohak-dong Art Village or Jeolla Gamyeong. Both are within walking distance, so they’re easy to add to your day.
